Xiaomi finally brings HyperIsland to Pads with HyperOS 3.1 update

When Xiaomi HyperOS 3.0 was launched, it also introduced “HyperIsland,” which is Xiaomi’s version of Dynamic Island. However, it was missing from tablets. That has all changed, though, as HyperOS 3.1 has officially brought it to Xiaomi Pad devices, and it’s not a lazy port from the smartphone version. Xiaomi has completely redesigned this feature in large-screen interactions. Rather than merely scaling down the phone interface, Xiaomi’s tablet interface works in conjunction with the status bar. • Availability: Currently available with Xiaomi HyperOS 3.1 on tablets
  • Design: Designed for large screens; does not hinder multitasking.
  • Status Bar: Cleaned up with a new left-aligned date/time layout.
  • Function: Supports drag and drop multitasking directly from the island.

From a visual perspective, it enhances immersion by moving static information like date and time to the side of the screen, allowing for more focused content at the center of the screen for media playback or for notifications of time-sensitive information while working or gaming. However,
