Xiaomi tests first 9 global devices for HyperOS 3.1 update

If you’ve been patiently waiting for the next giant leap in the Xiaomi universe, your wait is finally over because, on January 22nd, 2026, Xiaomi formally started rolling out its much-anticipated Xiaomi HyperOS 3.1 Beta in China and has confirmed that they’ve built their new operating system completely using Android 16.

While we’ve already seen the beta go live in China for users, we’ve now received confirmation of what we’ve dubbed “First Batch” for global users and can confirm that it includes some real heavy-hitters in the world of Xiaomi devices, including the Xiaomi 17 and the much-anticipated POCO F7 Ultra. This is not just a skin redesign, as HyperOS 3.1 introduces a complete redesign of the visual interface as well as system optimizations.
