Xiaomi launches the Mijia Smart Invisible Clothes Drying Rack (2-meter single pole) in the Chinese market, adding another product to their smart home solutions. The product can now be purchased from popular e-commerce platforms like JD.com, allowing users to have a compact drying system along with smart lighting solutions and other smart home functions. Since this product was announced for the Chinese market, any details about availability and pricing will solely relate to customers residing in mainland China.
Design with a Focus on Contemporary Living Spaces
The Mijia Smart Invisible Clothes Drying Rack from Xiaomi is crafted in a manner that focuses on minimalistic as well as adaptive designs suitable to a modern apartment interior. This is possible due to its recessed ceiling mounting system, allowing the entire unit to be hidden from sight when not in use.
The dryer comes with a redesigned edge-covering strip that provides a smooth connection between the ceiling and the drying rack. There is also an internal access panel that comes with the drying rod, allowing for easy maintenance without compromising the design of the device, a gesture that shows Xiaomi’s dedication to blending industry designs with functionality.
Integrated Lighting and Smart Connectivity
Apart from the design factor, the drying rack also serves as lighting. The rack is fitted with 36W gradually brightening LED lighting, which eliminates the need for extra lighting on balconies. The color temperature of the lighting can be controlled using the Mi Home app to ensure that the lighting tone matches the living surroundings.
Xiaomi HyperConnect technology gives the user the ability to connect their dryer to other smart home devices like washing machines and smart curtains to make various automation tasks possible. The wave design exhibited by the hanging rod groove does not require the user to work with eyelets anymore.
Durability, Load Capacity, and Price Information
Xiaomi claims that Mijia Smart Invisible Clothes Drying Rack has already completed 6,000 full lifting durability tests for enhanced durability. The device has a lifecycle of up to eight years based on two lifting cycles every day. The device can handle a maximum of 30 kg of laundry and has an ultra-wide 1.6-meter rope pitch, which is apt for handling heavy laundry. It has a DC motor that operates noiselessly and consumes less power.
In China, the product has an original price of 1,149 yuan, which has been discounted to 1,089 yuan using coupons. However, with the use of the national subsidy, the retail price begins at a rate of 925.65 yuan, which is roughly equivalent to USD 130. Nevertheless, this has only been made possible by Xiaomi for China.
