Xiaomi has finally commenced the distribution of the stable update of HyperOS 3 in China by expanding it to several flagship and upper-midrange devices. As per the early rollout data and internal update schedules published from HyperOSUpdates and recent firmware listings shared on XiaomiTime, the gray-scale (limited) rollout phase has started today, thus allowing Xiaomi to keep a close tab on system stability before moving to the full public release. A global rollout is also planned and is expected to follow after the China deployment gets stabilized.
What the Limited (Gray-Scale) Rollout Means
Note that this update is currently being rolled out through Xiaomi’s industry-standard gray-scale distribution system, which first pushes the firmware to a small group of confirmed devices to ensure system stability, balance in battery performance, and app compatibility before a mass rollout. Devices receiving the update during this phase may even vary by region within China.
The gray-scale rollout phase isn’t the very final full rollout, and users may need to wait for their device to be added in the next wave. This has a significant advantage in reducing the risk of a widespread issue and helps Xiaomi maintain a consistent user experience across different hardware platforms.

Global Release Timeline and User Preparation
While this release currently targets China, Xiaomi has confirmed that a Global version of HyperOS 3 is in internal testing. Based on Xiaomi’s previous update schedules, the global rollout is expected to begin after the Chinese stable builds complete their gray-scale validation.
Users can update their system apps by downloading Xiaomi-related updates through HyperOSUpdates.com or using the application MemeOS Enhancer through the Play Store. The application provides access to hidden features from Xiaomi, the update of system apps, and direct access to the update interface.
