Redmi Pad 2 4G gets HyperOS 3 update with Android 16

The REDMI Pad 2 4G Global model has received the HyperOS 3 update based on Android 16, an important step in the development of Xiaomi’s ecosystem strategy. The new firmware brings updates in system fluidity, visual consistency, and cross-device intelligence. Also, the closest integration with Xiaomi HyperConnect allows this update to further enhance device collaboration across tablets and smartphones.

HyperOS 3 Update Now Available for REDMI Pad 2 4G

This update is currently rolling out for the EEA Global variant of the device and carries the build number OS3.0.2.0.WOWEUXM. Since software updates are usually rolled out in phases, it may take some time before it hits every region. The firmware brings in enhancements to the Android 16 core, better management of background tasks, and more stable memory allocation.

Details of Official Release

Xiaomi has confirmed 9 December 2025 as the public release date. Targeted at users in EEA markets, internally, this version bears the codename koto. This update package includes updated security components, refined system animations, and a redesigned permission framework, greatly improving the data transparency of the platform. It will also enhance OTA stability to ensure wireless update installations are safer and more reliable for enterprise and consumer environments.

HyperOS 3: Visual & AI System Improvements

In this regard, the REDMI Pad 2 4G benefits from a refined visual language on HyperOS 3 for a cleaner and more consistent interface. The system now uses a unified icon framework; rounded animations; and smoother haptic feedback logic. These have been crafted to maintain performance stability even under heavy multitasking workloads.

Super Island and iOS-Style Experience

Core functional additions include Super Island, introducing a smart notification zone that adapts dynamically to real-time activities such as navigation, music playback, and file transfers. Also, HyperOS 3 introduces a more intuitive system interaction model-akin to iOS-with enhanced gesture navigation and more natural system transitions. These features are designed to increase productivity while keeping the learning curve minimal for everyday users.

Updating and Optimising System Applications

Users can install the update via Settings > About tablet > System update. Following the initial firmware upgrade, it is recommended to keep the system apps updated, as many new features may require the latest versions to function properly.

Most system applications from Xiaomi can be updated using trusted platforms like HyperOSUpdates.com or by using the MemeOS Enhancer tool, downloadable from Play Store:

The MemeOS Enhancer application provides users with the ability to unlock the very hidden aspects of Xiaomi, update core system apps, and reach on-screen update shortcuts for a better software management experience.
