The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G has just been treated to the HyperOS 3 Beta update, and with this, Xiaomi has started the rollout of their succeeding major software update phase. The ROM comes with the OS3.0.0.4.WOPINXM build, but for now, only beta testers can download and install this ROM. Being built on Android 16, this new ROM promises an overall enhancement in both performance, display, and AI.
What’s new in HyperOS 3
HyperOS 3 is another step in the evolution of software design by Xiaomi, offering an “innovative, clean, and smart” design experience with their devices. This new software offers improvements to AI image editing, voice interactions, and system animations, with new icons and an “updated control style like iOS” in addition to improvements in system efficiency and multitasking, which result in an even more responsive device, such as in the Note 14 Pro+ 5G.
The firmware also comes with new improved security options, better management of background apps, and more fluid gesture navigation. There will be improved gesture touches and quicker application launch speeds, offering a flagship software experience.
Availability and installation
However, at the moment, HyperOS 3 Beta is only available to Indian beta testers who signed up for the beta program earlier this year. Xiaomi might include more testers in the beta program rollout, pending the completion of beta testers’ feedback. If you haven’t joined the beta program, you might have to wait until the stable HyperOS 3 launch, which is due out in the next few months.
To be part of the beta experience in the future, users can expect Xiaomi to open up registrations again via the Mi Community India website.
Final thoughts
The launch of HyperOS 3 Beta on the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G is a result of Xiaomi’s commitment to providing their users with software features from the latest version of the Android operating system, which is Android 16. The device is one of the first models in the Note series to support Xiaomi’s latest operating system.
