Emir BardakçıXiaomi has officially launched the Mijia Desktop Water Purifier Ice Cream Edition, now available for its first sale on JD.com. This new smart appliance will be capable of producing 10g of large transparent ice crystals, heat water up to adjustable temperatures within just 3 seconds, and costs ¥4499 ≈ USD 616, while the early bird price is ¥3869.1 ≈ USD 530. Additional subsidies in certain regions can bring the price down even further to approximatelyUSD 424.
Two modes of making ice and silent operation
The Mijia Ice Cream Edition also includes a variable frequency ice-making system combined with dual-fan cooling for fast performance at low noise, at only 35 dB. It offers two modes for making ice:
- 10g ice cubes (5 pieces in 15 minutes)
- 6g ice cubes: 5 pieces in 10 minutes
This flexibility allows users to prepare small and large ice cubes in the fastest possible way, making it suitable for use at both home and the office.
Advanced filtration and smart heating system
Equipped with a 6 L dual water tank for raw and waste water, the purifier uses Sri Lankan coconut shell activated carbon for efficient filtration and pure-tasting water. Besides, it supports an automatic drainage function, reducing maintenance effort.
The integrated power heating module 2100 W provides faster heating; smart temperature control is supported within the range of 40 °C to 95 °C to be used with tea, coffee, or instant meals.
Design and usability
The Ice Cream Edition uses Xiaomi’s minimalistic design language, which incorporates aesthetic details into functionality. It features variable speed cooling, intelligent LED indicators, and real-time temperature adjustments via the control panel.
With built-in ice-making and heating in one compact unit, this device is designed to deliver year-round comfort: cooling drinks in summer and heating water instantly in winter.
