Bluetooth Special Interest Group (Bluetooth SIG) has finally declared the China Interest Group official, a shared platform designed to improve the role played by Chinese players in shaping the future of Bluetooth technology. The organization includes membership from prominent technology companies such as Huawei, Xiaomi, OPPO, Honor, and Lenovo, among others. It aims to ensure that China’s massive consumer electronics market and its unique innovation ecosystem are better represented in the global Bluetooth framework.
Aim of the China Interest Group
The newly established China Interest Group will perform a bridge function between local innovation and global standardization, with a focus on cooperation, education, and industry development. It will enable Chinese technology developers and manufacturers to become more active in line with the Bluetooth SIG’s strategic roadmap while focusing on China’s special needs in connectivity and wireless communication industries.

First Meeting and Participating Companies
The inaugural China Interest Group session was in a position to meet on key industry stakeholders to determine collaborative goals and long-term strategies for Bluetooth growth in China. The event had members from Qualcomm, Huawei, Xiaomi, Goodix Technology, Actions Technology, Lenovo, OPPO, Honor, Nordic Semiconductor, Silicon Labs, Infineon, Unisoc, and Bairui Interconnect.
During the meeting, members exchanged practical strategies for consolidating China’s position within the global Bluetooth industry, including production through innovation, contribution to setting standards, and developer training programs.
The formation of the Bluetooth SIG China Interest Group is a milestone for the wireless industry.
