Xiaomi achieves 42% tablet growth leading Q2 2025 market

Xiaomi is making serious waves in the global tablet market. In Q2 2025, the company recorded a massive 42.3% year-on-year increase in shipments, according to Canalys. That’s not just incremental growth—it’s Xiaomi leaping ahead, and now they’re the fifth-largest tablet manufacturer worldwide. They moved 3.05 million units this quarter alone, securing 7.8% of the global market. For a brand often labeled as a smartphone player, this is a clear sign that Xiaomi’s strategy is paying off, especially as consumer interest in gaming tablets heats up across Asia.

The Tablet Market Is on the Rebound

The broader market is showing strength, too. Global tablet shipments hit 39 million units in Q2 2025, up 9% year-on-year and 5% month-on-month. Tablets, once written off as a dying category, are clearly back in the conversation.

What’s driving this rebound? According to Canalys research manager Himani Mukka, several factors are at play:

  • Aggressive consumer subsidies in China
  • Major commercial tenders worldwide
  • New product launches, especially in the gaming segment
  • Rising consumer demand for gaming tablets

Xiaomi’s Performance Stands Out

Xiaomi’s 42.3% growth rate is well above the industry average, making it the fastest-growing brand among the top five. In comparison, Apple remains the market leader with 14.1 million units shipped and a 36.1% share, but only managed 2.4% growth. Samsung actually saw a slight decline, while Huawei and Lenovo also posted impressive double-digit gains.

Market snapshot:

  • Xiaomi: 3.05M units (7.8% share), +42.3% growth
  • Apple: 14.1M units (36.1% share), +2.4% growth
  • Samsung: 6.65M units (17.1% share), -1.8% decline
  • Huawei: 3.23M units (8.3% share), +29.2% growth
  • Lenovo: 3.1M units (7.9% share), +24.7% growth

Gaming Tablets Fueling the Surge

The main growth engine? Gaming tablets. Xiaomi has capitalized on this trend, building performance-oriented devices that resonate with consumers—particularly in Asian markets where mobile gaming is booming.

For users looking to maximize their Xiaomi tablet experience, tools like MemeOS Enhancer (available on the Play Store) offer advanced features, deeper system customization, and streamlined updates.

In summary, Xiaomi’s aggressive push into gaming tablets and its ability to respond to shifting consumer demand have put the brand in a strong competitive position. This kind of momentum suggests the company is well-positioned for further growth in the coming quarters.
