Xiaomi announces: Leica features coming to more devices

Xiaomi has officially responded to user feedback regarding their imaging capabilities in a comprehensive Q&A session from their recent “Person in Charge Online” Xiaomi Imaging Exchange Meeting. The company addressed numerous user concerns and announced exciting updates coming to their camera systems across multiple device lineups. These developments showcase Xiaomi’s commitment to enhancing the photography experience for users of both flagship Xiaomi 14 Ultra and mid-range devices. 4K 60fps Dolby Recording Support

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra will receive support for 4K 60fps full-focus Dolby video recording. This feature has completed development and passed official certification processes, with the system update already being rolled out to users.

Leica Shutter Sound Effects Expansion

Xiaomi confirmed that the new Leica shutter sound effects will be distributed to more devices through camera app updates. The feature will be available on:

  • Xiaomi 15 series
  • Xiaomi 14 series
  • Xiaomi 13 series
  • Xiaomi 12S series
  • Xiaomi MIX Fold 3
  • Xiaomi MIX Fold 4
  • Xiaomi MIX Flip

Enhanced Watermark Capabilities

The company is addressing watermark-related issues and introducing new features. Album editing functions will be optimized to prevent watermark overlapping when editing photos multiple times. This improvement is expected to launch in the second half of 2025.

Additionally, Leica and film watermarks will be gradually added to dynamic photos and videos across compatible models. Xiaomi is also expediting the development of more watermark styles with cloud control capabilities.

EV Adjustment Feature Rollout

The EV adjustment function will be distributed to older models through camera app updates, covering devices including the Xiaomi 14 series, Xiaomi 13 series, Xiaomi 12S series, and various REDMI models like the K70, K60, Note 14, and Note 13 series.

REDMI White Film Watermark

REDMI devices will receive white film watermark support through camera app updates. This feature will gradually cover multiple REDMI series including K80, K70, K60, Note 14, Note 13, Turbo 3, and the upcoming Turbo 4 series.

    helo developer’s can you make your phone like the samsung when you using the camera and video you can flip the front the back camera and also when you record a video you can used the front camera while making a video recording like samsung dual camera.thanknyou

    I don’t expected anything from Xiaomi anymore but man the 13T Pro ia a 1k phone and even tho it’s not the newest anymore I think it’s possible to have Dolby vision too but Xiaomi is Xiaomi that will never happened…

    Same for the shutter sound man it’s nothing important but a nice touch to have given that it’s a Leica co-branded phone…
