Xiaomi’s highly-awaited in-house processor finally emerged in benchmark, with jaw-dropping figures to show for it. The Geekbench 6.1.0 platform today presented staggering figures for an enigmatic device identified as “Xiaomi 25042PN24C” fueled by what looks to be XiaomiS Pro with forthcoming XRING O1 chip. This historic development represents a great step in Xiaomi’s aspiration towards hardware independence and promises to transform the smartphone performance scenario in years to come, potentially redefining our perspective towards mobile processing power.
Benchmark Results Show Impressive Performance
Benchmark scores highlight the strength of the XRING O1, recording a single-core score of 2709, as well as a multi-core score of 8125. The scores aren’t only great, but they beat out the performance of Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which has ruled the Android scene since its introduction.
The motherboard details shown as “O1_asic” in benchmark further indicate that it’s truly Xiaomi’s in-house developed XRING O1 chip, finally ending months of speculation over the company’s foray into the semiconductor business.
Advanced Architecture with a 10-Core Design
Different from traditional mobile processors, which have standard 8-core designs, the XRING O1 uses a unique 10-core design:
- 2 high-performance cores running at 3.9GHz
- 4 balanced cores running at 3.4GHz
- 2 efficiency cores operate at 1.89GHz
- 2 extra efficiency cores operating at 1.8GHz
This advanced setup provides more efficient power delivery and task handling, which can bring greater performance without compromising battery life.
Exceptional Graphics Performance
The benchmark also indicates that the XRING O1 features an Immortalis-G925 GPU clocked at 1.795GHz. The next-generation graphics processor guarantees great gaming performance as well as rendering graphically demanding applications smoothly.
Extra Features
The test device attached to the XRING O1 chip also accommodates great extra facilities:
- UWB (Ultra-Wideband) technology for accurate spatial awareness
- Fast charging support up to 90W for quick battery refill
Launch Timeline
The XRING O1 processor, as per industry sources, is set to make its official launch in late May 2025. The processor will soon make its first appearances in Xiaomi’s flagship smartphones, likely in the Xiaomi 15 series.
