POCO F7 launch coming soon: Everything we know

The much-expected POCO F7 will soon go on global sale after its Chinese version, Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, is unveiled on April 24, 2025. Xiaomi fans across the world are waiting expectantly for this phone that is said to offer almost-flagship specs at a competitive price. Reliable insider reports suggest that the POCO F7 will sport the latest Snapdragon 8s Gen4 processor, bringing it well within the premium mid-range segment with capabilities rivaling many flagships. The device is a testament to POCO’s commitment to value proposition while retaining the performance standards for which the F-series has become a world favorite.

Main Features

The POCO F7 is set to borrow most features from the REDMI Turbo 4 Pro, which includes:

  • Processor: Snapdragon 8s Gen4
  • Display: 6.83-inch 1.5K LTPS flat screen with ultra-narrow bezels (1.5mm on three sides, 1.9mm chin)
  • Battery: Roughly 7,000mAh with 90W quick charging (it must be less than Chinese model’s 7,550mAh)
  • Camera System: 50MP primary sensor + 8MP ultra-wide lens
  • Design: High-end metal structure with CNC + sandblasting processing made of aviation aluminum alloy
  • Biometrics: In-display short-throw optical fingerprint sensor
  • Special Feature: Interchangeable light strip with adjustable color and brightness like POCO X7 Pro

Premium Build Quality

The F7 by POCO will unveil a major improvement in construction quality with the metal frame body. The device boasts:

  • CNC machined aviation-grade aluminum alloy frame 70kg bending resistance for enhanced durability
  • Large R-angle layout for stable handling
  • Soft Mist glass back panel available in a variety of color choices

As stated by Wang Teng, General Manger for Xiaomi China Marketing Department, the device will be both “powerful” and good-looking while being within reach of most users’ budgets. The executive has even said that the Pro variant is set to match the offerings of more-expensive competitors’ devices.

Global Availability

While the REDMI Turbo 4 Pro is debuting on April 24 in China, the international edition known as POCO F7 is said to soon follow. The international edition might see some changes, especially regarding battery capacity, which might be a little lower compared to the massive Chinese edition’s 7,550mAh.

The POCO F7 follows the company’s trend of bringing high-end features at reasonable costs, competing with pricier flagships on a value for-money basis.
