The Shanghai International Auto Show in 2025 will kick off on April 23, and Xiaomi Motors is officially confirmed to be present. Xiaomi’s car enthusiasts will have their chance to lay their eyes on the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra as well as the complete SU7 lineup at their stand at Hall 6.2H・6B02, sitting adjacent to battery giant CATL. One car not present, however, will be highly speculated-about Xiaomi YU7. The news brought an end to speculations as to whether YU7 would be unveiled at the event. The development comes courtesy of Xiaomi Auto Vice President Li Xiaoshuang himself, by way of social media, to satisfy netizens’ curiosity.
Here’s what to expect from the SU7 range at the exhibition:
Xiaomi is betting big on its electric sedan flagships, including the SU7 Ultra, which will come with high-end hardware and sophisticated smart driving features. The entire SU7 range will be showcased, unveiling Xiaomi’s technological prowess in electric mobility as well as smart connectivity. The show is Xiaomi’s latest aggressive step to position itself in the EV space.
Xiaomi YU7: Specifications, Leaks, and Everything We Know So Far
Although the YU7 will not be making an appearance at the event, there is much to learn about Xiaomi’s followup electric vehicle. The YU7 is already certified with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It will be sold in single and dual-motor trims with 96.3 kWh and 101.7 kWh battery capacity to provide an up to 820 km (509 miles max range).

While Xiaomi’s YU7 will be absent from the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, its reputation will precede it due to increasing hype and impressive leaked specifications. Meanwhile, the SU7 Ultra and their siblings will be in the limelight, giving an exciting preview of Xiaomi’s car-making plans.
