Enigmatic REDMI gaming product to launch set on April 17

Xiaomi officially teased today that tomorrow (April 17) at 10:00 AM China time will see them launch a new Redmi technology product. The product, based on the teaser, will provide a “new dual-mode e-sports experience” with implications that this will be more than your ordinary gaming peripheral. The teaser includes visual clues in the form of covered displayl, game controller, and remote control which means Xiaomi might be about to launch Redmi gaming monitor or smart entertainment device. This comes after the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro announcement and latest Redmi Monitor A27U launch.

What We Know So Far

The promo text on the poster reads, “E-sports gamers who own it can indulge in an audio-visual treat in performing slick operations and defeating enemies in mere minutes.” No specs have been officially announced as of now, but the text clearly points towards in-depth graphics and lightning-fast gaming commands.

Poster Clues Contain:

  • A mysterious, cloth-screened monitor
  • remote with probably smart features
  • A controller in direction of gaming support
  • This combination suggests a multi-purpose screen—perhaps a Redmi gaming monitor with console-like features or even TV-like functionality.

Related Launch Timeline Launch Date January

Xiaomi has also been busy in April. On April 12, they launched Redmi A27U energy-saving monitor with both normal HDMI version as well as Type-C version. Following that, Xiaomi announced that REDMI Turbo 4 Pro smartphone will launch this month as well. It is quite clear that Xiaomi is making an aggressive push in gaming and performance segments in Q2 2025.

Tune in tomorrow for the big unveiling. Whatever it might be, whether a next-gen e-sports monitor or a smart gaming console or something completely different, Xiaomi is set to surprise us again.
