The information came directly from Xiaomi in their latest Q&A episode (Episode 123), in which they addressed a number of performance questions, track-ready features, and high-end features that many potential buyers were waiting with bated breath to learn about.
SU7 Ultra’s Track-Ready Performance
The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra has been rigorously tested and proven at Germany’s mythical Nürburgring Nordschleife and several top home-market tracks. The rigorous testing process ensures that the car is reliable even with the harsh environment that comes with regular track usage. Xiaomi Motors recommends regular car checks before and after track usage at authorized Xiaomi Auto Service Centres for maximum performance and safety.
For runners, Xiaomi focuses on several notable systems that warrant closer examination:
- Brake System: The SU7 Ultra comes with carbon ceramic brake discs as a standard, which offer superior heat resistance and far longer lifespans than steel discs
- Tire Management: The specially designed tires for the vehicle are specifically engineered to manage the intense lateral and longitudinal loads encountered during cornering at high speeds and acceleration
- Safety Features: Highly advanced driver training is recommended in order to fully enjoy the vehicle’s capabilities
Advanced Braking Technology
One of the most striking characteristics of the SU7 Ultra is the sophisticated Bosch DPB+ESP10 fully decoupled braking system. This revolutionary technology provides “quadruple safety redundancy” through numerous backup systems:
Emergency braking in P gear in the event of pedal failure (up to 0.8g deceleration) Mutual backup between DPB and ESP systems Mechanical hydraulic brake backup in the event that electronic systems fail Energy recovery braking system (up to 0.25g)
The car is also equipped with a three-stage brake alarm system that monitors brake disc temperature, brake fluid temperature, and brake pad thickness in a bid to prevent any safety-related issues.
Premium forged wheels: Is it worth the upgrade?
The 21-inch U-shaped forged wheels included with the upcoming Racing Kit represent a big upgrade from the stock cast wheels. Engineered from aviation-quality 6-series aluminum through a cutting-edge forging and milling process, these wheels deliver:

- Optimal strength-to-weight ratio (approx. 30% less weight than cast equivalent wheels)
