Xiaomi HyperOS AI dynamic wallpapers eligible devices list announced

Xiaomi’s trailblazing HyperOS division has now released their eighth Q&A session, with a lot of focus being given to the highly anticipated AI dynamic wallpapers feature. This feature has been touted to completely transform the way Xiaomi enthusiasts personalize their devices, with a full release scheduled by mid-March. This has sent ripples among Xiaomi fans worldwide who have been eagerly waiting for this feature ever since it was teased.

Devices Supported

Xiaomi’s AI dynamic wallpaper feature will be supported by a lot of its devices, including:

• Xiaomi Digital Series: Xiaomi 15 series, Xiaomi 14 series, and Xiaomi 13 series
• Xiaomi MIX Series: Xiaomi MIX Fold 4, Xiaomi Flip, and Xiaomi MIX Fold 3
• REDMI K Series: REDMI K80 series, REDMI K70 series, REDMI K60 Ultra and REDMI K60 Pro
• REDMI Turbo Series: REDMI Turbo 4, REDMI Turbo 3
• Xiaomi Civi Series: Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro
• Xiaomi Pad Series: Xiaomi Pad 7 series, Xiaomi Pad 6s Pro 12.4

How to Use This Feature

To use this new feature, customers will have to upgrade their “Theme Wallpaper” application to version 7.1.8.0 or later from the App Store, MemeOS Enhancer or directly from HyperOS Updates website.

Some models have particular versions:

• Users of Xiaomi MIX Fold: Update to version 8.8.6.5 or later.
• Xiaomi Pad series users: Update to version 9.3.0.0 and beyond

It has already begun rolling out, with mobile devices to receive a complete update by mid-March. Pad devices will receive it next.

Setting Up Your AI Dynamic Wallpaper

It’s very easy. Users can just go to “Settings” -> “System Personalization” -> “Wallpaper” -> “AI Dynamic Wallpaper” and import a static photo. The AI model will then generate a customized dynamic wallpaper from it.

What’s so interesting about this feature is that it can produce different dynamic effects each time it’s viewed, giving you unlimited options for personalization.

Usage Limitations

To provide best performance and enable more simultaneous users to use this feature, some reasonable restrictions have been applied by Xiaomi:

• You can upload one photo at a time
• Dynamic wallpapers created by AI run once when the screen turns on (to balance power consumption)
