Xiaomi 12 series to receive HyperOS 2 global update next week

Xiaomi is set to launch the Android 15-based HyperOS 2 update for the Xiaomi 12 series globally, with the EEA being the first region to receive the global HyperOS 2update. This follows the update’s China variant being successfully rolled out late last month.

Update Versions Ready for Distribution

The update packages have been created with the following build numbers:

• Xiaomi 12 Pro: OS2.0.2.0.VLBEUXM
• Xiaomi 12: OS2.0.2.0.VLCEUXM

Regional Rollout Progress

Currently, only the European (EEA) builds have been finalized and can be implemented. Updates for the other regions are under preparation, indicating a staged process.

Release Timeline

• Late January: HyperOS 2 China update is released for the Xiaomi 12 series
• Early February: Xiaomi officially announced pilot tests will started on week 3 of Feb
• Late February: EEA region global launch expected (fourth week of February)

This staged launch process also allows Xiaomi to ensure stability as well as iron out any bugs before mass distribution.
