Xiaomi MK71 Pro mechanical keyboard now on sale

Following the successful crowdfunding campaign on Xiaomi Youpin earlier this month, Xiaomi’s latest mechanical keyboard, the MK71 Pro, has finally hit the retail market via JD.com. It is now available for ¥499 (68 USD), housing a strong mix of features that will satisfy both casual users and keyboard enthusiasts.

Design and Build

The MK71 Pro arrives in compact 71 keys, with the usual keycap spacing, while offering two attractive colorways: glacier and moon rock; it will implement TTC’s in-house linear “first generation axis” switches, tuned with PORON material and a GASKET noise-absorbing structure for improved typing.

Included in its list of feature highlights is a set of precision mold satellite stabilizers that are hand-oiled and tuned for the same feel of a keystroke within the entire keycap, whether pressed at the center or the edges. Another feature that this keyboard will possess is fully hot-swappable switches, whereby users can easily swap their typing experiences depending on whatever switch preferences they change.

Connectivity and Performance Connectivity

The MK71 Pro is designed with three modes of versatile connectivity:

  • Bluetooth wireless
  • USB wired connection
  • 2.4GHz wireless receiver

Both wired and 2.4GHz connections have their low-latency modes, and the switching between the three hooked devices is easy and smooth. The receiver with an included extension cable stably provides faster connections at 2.4GHz. For Windows users, support for custom drivers is available, thus enabling key remapping and further gaming configuration settings.

Battery Life and Display

Powered by a spacious 7800mAh battery, the keyboard pulls some remarkable endurance:

  • Up to 70 hours of continuous use in streamer mode
  • Up to 140 hours in dark mode
  • The convenient 1-inch LCD display shows the connection status, time, and other information, while users can select keyboard lighting effects directly

. The launch on JD.com is an important retail expansion for the MK71 Pro, which was earlier crowdfunded on Xiaomi Youpin.
