Xiaomi Teams Up with China’s Ministry of Education to Boost AIoT

Under the historic move to bridge academia and industry, Xiaomi Communications Technology Co., Ltd. and the Vocational Education Development Center of the Ministry of Education signed a strategic cooperation memorandum in Beijing to promote state-of-the-art technological domains such as AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things)intelligent manufacturing, and intelligent networking into pedagogic systems.

Strategic Goals

It is part of the “New Generation Intelligent Technology Industry-Education Integration Promotion Project” to build further synergy between industry development and education and training. In doing so, it will:

  • Engage both the students and teachers in practical experience associated with advanced technologies. It aims to foster innovation in AIoT and smart manufacturing.
  • Develop the talent pipeline to feed the vast needs of China’s rapidly growing intelligent technology ecosystem.

Role of Xiaomi and Support

Under this partnership, Xiaomi will set up an Industry-Education Integration Community, which is committed to the following: Industry-Education Integration Promotion Office: Providing logistical and operational support for the participating institutions.

  • Support Given to Non-Profit Organizations: Providing finances, technical platforms, and practical training equipment to educators and institutions.
  • Community Building: Already a 135-plus member institution base for Xiaomi’s initiative, including Sun Yat-sen University, Wuhan University, and Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, is targeted to grow to 300 by year-end.

Further, it will add 500 companies from Xiaomi’s ecosystem and service providers one after another into the Program to cover every segment of the industry.

Educational Institutions on Board

Conspicuous group participants include Tsinghua University’s Yanqi Lake Institute of Applied Mathematics in this fast-evolving community. Such overarching involvement speaks to the excellence of the program and is, thus, leading the workforce toward the next generation in a tech-savviness sense.

The Road Ahead

The partnership between Xiaomi and MoE is an important step toward an ecosystem that will enable academia and industry to collaborate seamlessly in driving innovation. The initiative will definitely play a very important role in the development of talent for AIoT and intelligent technologies by aligning educational curriculums with real-world industry demands. It is also a reflection of Xiaomi’s long-term commitment to social responsibility and innovation by better preparing the future workforce for leadership in a much more intelligent and interlinked world.

    A co z aktualizacjami użytkownicy Xaomi są rozczarowani Xaomi 14T i 14T pro miał być aktualizowany w listopadzie a Xaomi 13T i 13T pro są podzielone na listopad grudzień. Aktualizację są robione inaczej jak to zapowiadano z opóźnieniami
