POCO F6 Pro and POCO X6 Pro to get the HyperOS 2 update

This week, POCO users have something to keep an eye on: updates for HyperOS 2 get ready to go live internationally for the POCO F6 Pro and POCO X6 Pro (EEA version). This highly acclaimed update is said to house some of the latest innovation features and key improvements until now for these popular lineups, sealing POCO’s commitment to maintaining top-notch software experiences throughout.

What is HyperOS 2?

HyperOS 2 is Xiaomi’s next-generation operating system, combining the best of Android 14 along with Xiaomi’s proprietary optimizations. It boasts a fresh interface, enhanced AI capabilities, and improved system performance. With this update, the POCO F6 Pro and X6 Pro are expected to elevate the overall user experience closer to Xiaomi’s flagship software ecosystem.

Key Features of HyperOS 2

  1. Improved Control Center: The revised Control Center has a sleek and modern build, with inspiration from Android 15, and it will be much easier to operate the system through it.
  2. AI-Powered Features: Besides the new cameras, it packs more advanced AI tools to improve camera performance, photo editing, and system-wide optimizations for smoother multitasking and wiser ways of interacting with your device.
  3. Better Multitasking: HyperOS 2 introduces a new, iOS-inspired recent apps interface, allowing fluent switching between tasks, including optimization of resource assignment to enhance speed and responsiveness.
  4. Better Battery and Performance: Efficiency is what this update will focus on, with a promise of better battery life through improved memory management and hardware-software integration.
  5. Gaming Boosts: Game Turbo 6.0 is one of the key features of HyperOS 2, which offers the gamer increased personalization for smoother gaming and less latency.

It’s a shame Xiaomi is so late with the update. Phones like the 13C have been updated for a long time.

It’s a shame what Xiaomi does. As well as not putting the same features as the Chinese version in the global versions, we still have to put up with it splitting the Global version into 4 or 5 other versions and launching them far apart. I have a 14T Pro and I confess to regretting having spent so much on this device, only for it to be treated as if it were a weak mid-ranger. Several weaker and older devices have already received the update, but the 14T Pro Global will probably be one of the last.

Xiaomi users are some of the stupidest people. They dislike when you comment on something useful. Instead of doing these stupid things, protest. Updates for higher models should be released faster.
