Redmi K80 series nearing launch: Leaked key features and certifications alongside camera details

The Redmi K80 series is shaping up to be one of the most highly-anticipated releases for Xiaomi fans, packing a punch with powerful specifications and a ton of new features. Recently, on October 30, two models that were part of the series passed the 3C certification and network access requirements. Here’s what we know so far:

Fast Charging Capabilities

  1. Primary Camera: 50MP OVX8000 primary sensor, which is a customized Xiaomi variant of the OV50E. Along with a 1/1.55-inch sensor, f/1.63 aperture, and 24mm focal length, this camera is optimized for vibrant color reproduction, better detail, and solid low-light performance.
  2. Telephoto Lens: 50MP S5KJN5 sensor, 3x optical zoom, highly useful in capturing subjects that are very far away with crystal clear details, hence very suitable for portrait and wildlife photography.
  3. Ultra-Wide-Angle Lens: 32MP S5KKD1 sensor shoots sweeping landscapes and group shots, capturing more in each frame.
  4. Front Camera: OV20B40 sensor running a resolution of 20MP that gets you high-resolution selfies and crystal clear video calls.

Display and Design

In fact, both models in the K80 lineup will boast a 6.67-inch 2K 120Hz display supplied by TCL Huaxing, with Xiaomi upgrading the panel material from C8 to C9 to further enhance display quality, colors, and durability.
