Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is road legal and track ready

Xiaomi Motors will officially unveil the long-awaited SU7 Ultra at its conference on October 29th and confirm that this ultra-high-performance, road-legal beast is fitted with all it takes to master city streets and racing tracks with equal ease. Features that puts the SU7 Ultra in a positioning class with advanced carbon ceramic brake discs and advanced coilover shock suspension, all hinting at the ambition of rewriting what high-performance luxury means in the automobile sector, were revealed by Xiaomi in a recent Q&A.

Key Highlights of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Mass Production Version

The SU7 Ultra is a high-performance luxury car with “pure racing genes,” featuring an advanced powertrain with a chassis engineered to the highest standards in rigorous automotive testing. Extensive durability tests and real-world trials have been conducted on this vehicle, including several on the famed Germany track Nürburgring Nordschleife.

From urban commuting and track performance, a balance of peak power and refined luxury goes toward making the SU7 Ultra apt for enthusiasts with demanding requirements for high performance across all driving environments. Carbon Ceramic Brake Discs-Racing Grade and Custom Designed The SU7 Ultra features some of the largest and most advanced carbon ceramic brake discs in the automotive world, measuring up to 430mm at the front and 410mm at the rear. These tailor-made disks, manufactured specifically for the SU7 Ultra, operate under extreme temperatures above 1,300°C and boast excellent heat dissipation.

Thanks to high-performance CNC machining, the braking system boasts improved braking precision while the durability has been increased for maintenance-free long life, a hallmark of high-end sports and luxury cars. Coil-Over Shock Absorbers: More Control with Bilstein EVO T1 The SU7 Ultra has Bilstein EVO T1 coilover shock absorbers specifically tuned according to Xiaomi’s high standards.

These adjustable shocks boast a 10-stage knob to graduate between compression and rebound with no stepped changes in between, therefore allowing drivers to tune the vehicle suspension for different track conditions. According to Xiaomi, the suspension is greatly dampened for pitch and roll gradients, meaning it should handle high-speed cornering much more stably. Equipped with corrosion-resistant coatings and multiple height adjustments, these shock absorbers are designed to last through high-intensity racing conditions.

Similar Power and Performance to Prototype

The production version of the SU7 Ultra retains the prototype’s three-motor system, its battery technology, and thermal management system. While exact power numbers remain unconfirmed, the prototype was touted to house a very impressive 1,548 horsepower with 0-100 km/h acceleration in 1.97 seconds and beyond 350 km/h; the production version is surely expected to offer similar high-speed capability, coming fitted with a track-ready battery pack for sustained high performance.

Advanced Technology and Personalisation across Xiaomi’s Product Line

Expected during the conference to be the launch spot for more than ten new products, including the Xiaomi 15 series phones, HyperOS 2, and the Xiaomi Tablet 7, this is expected to further bolster its lineup. On its journey to diversify the product ecosystem with SU7 Ultra, Xiaomi is mounting automotive tech that speaks volumes of the brand’s prowess in melding advanced features with luxury.
