There may be 2 different models as Redmi Turbo 4 and Redmi Turbo 4 Pro

The second half of 2024 is near, and Redmi is planning another big launch of smartphones in November; it’s expected that there will be two new models proposed under the codename Redmi K80 and Redmi K80 Pro for China. If recent leaks prove to be accurate, these will most definitely be fitted with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipsets, respectively, keeping in tune with the brand tradition of offering high-performance devices. There is also speculation building over the possible third model being called Redmi K80e or even a new Turbo version that was revealed in the latest leak fromDigital Chat Station.

Redmi K80 and K80 Pro: Full Flagship Power

The Redmi K80 and K80 Pro are meant to lead the next generation of flagship devices from Redmi, continuing with the partnership with Qualcomm to tuck in top-of-the-line performance. Here’s what to expect:

  • Redmi K80: The model would pack in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and will serve users needing potent performance without going overboard concerning pricing.
  • Redmi K80 Pro: This would be the top-of-the-line variant of the series and is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor; hence, it is supposed to feature more high-end features than any other variants, along with an advanced camera and top-notch performance.

Both models should contribute to the success of the K70 series, each possibly boasting flat OLED displays with 1.5K resolution, driven by huge batteries of more than 6,000mAh, while focusing on both design and performance.

A Third Model: Will There Be a K80e?

During the last years, alongside with the leading models of K series, Redmi also presented the K70e line which used to occupy a somewhat lower position and offered more affordable pricing. However, according to the latest rumors, the naming convention is going to be changed for the new models. Instead of Redmi K80e, there is a hypothesis that Redmi ultimately will change this Dimensity 8400-powered model to Redmi Turbo 4.

Redmi Turbo 4 and Turbo 4 Pro

The leaks also reveal that Redmi is working on two sub-flagship models:

  • Redmi Turbo 4: The device would then move into the middle class, powered by the Dimensity 8400, thus offering outstanding performance without raising the price above that of the K80 series.
  • Redmi Turbo 4 Pro: Given the chip it would contain, Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, it would obviously offer even better performance, offering more premium experience while keeping positioning below the K80 Pro.

The devices are said to use flat OLED panels and displays with 1.5K resolution to give ideal graphics. Other features that are expected include batteries above 6,000mAh for great battery life, and a camera similar in design to previously released Redmi devices.

Global Rebranding: What About Poco?

Over the years, some of the K-series models coming out of Redmi have been rebranded for international markets under the Poco brand. For example, the Redmi K70e and Redmi Turbo 3 have made their way to global markets as the Poco X6 Pro and Poco F6, respectively. But this time, Turbo 4 may be POCO F7 and Turbo 4 Pro will not be available on Global markets.

Upcoming models in the series, including the Redmi K80 and Turbo 4, promise to bring a wide array of exciting features, from cutting-edge processors to impressive battery life and high-quality displays. Whether there will be a Redmi K80e by name, or whether that could give over to a Turbo-branded model, is anybody’s guess, but most certainly, Redmi is once again pushing the envelope for smartphone innovation quite aggressively with a pretty strong lineup for both domestic and global markets. But as we wait for the official announcements, fans should look forward to a mix of flagship power, mid-range affordability, and of course, the usual excellent performance that Redmi has become synonymous with. Stay tuned for more details as the launch date nears!
