Surprisingly, it would then appear that the HyperOS Enhanced Beta update could well be the early version of HyperOS 2.0! Concluded within the update files is the like MiLink application’s APK, labeled as MiLinkOS2CN.apk. The “OS2” in this filename points directly to HyperOS 2.0.
Although HyperOS 2.0 is expected to drop in October, it would seem that this Enhanced Beta is acting like some sort of preview of what we will get with that next big release of features and optimizations. Due to this, it can be therefore said that this beta is really an early test version of HyperOS 2.0, giving users a view into the next big leap in software by Xiaomi.
With this development, it’s becoming amply clear that Xiaomi wants to pitch HyperOS as the leap ahead of MIUI: more polished, cohesive, and integrated features across its ecosystem. The full release of HyperOS 2.0 in October may well house even more enhancements, but for now, this beta does raise some exciting expectations. HyperOS Enhanced Beta is currently only available for Xiaomi 14, but this week it will also be available for Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4″ and Redmi K60 Ultra.
