Technology media The Tech Outlook, reporting on September 18th, said that Series of Xiaomi Electric Scooter 5 have appeared on the website of Certification Authority TDRA in UAE in preparation for their possible release to, if not the market, at least sales.
Models identified as:
- Xiaomi Electric Scooter 5 DDHBC40ZM
- Mi Xiaomi Electric Scooter 5 Pro DDHBC45ZM
- Xiaomi Electric Scooter 5 Pro Max DDHBC35ZM
Certification Process
While some of the certification processes are complete for the scooters, there are further compliance tests they need to pass. They should come soon into the global market, but the detailed specification is yet to be fully known.
What We Know So Far
The fact that an earlier release of the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Pro Max did give a peek into what to expect in features: boasting a 960W motor, a maximum speed of 25 km/h, and a range of up to 60 kilometers. Further, it supports three-speed adjustment modes, a twin-cylinder suspension system for easier movement on uneven terrain, 10-inch tires, E-ABS, drum brakes, and turn indicators. With much functionality, therefore, we can expect similar or even better capabilities in the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 5 series, summarizing Xiaomi’s push towards better urban mobility solutions.
