New Spy Shots of Xiaomi SUV – Shows Fastback and Sporty Design, Similar to Ferrari Purosangue

Recently, Weibo blogger @Electric Planet Xiaoxin exposed a set of spy shots of Xiaomi’s highly anticipated SUV, carrying out road tests and wrapped up. Positioned as the second SUV model in Xiaomi’s venture into electric vehicles, this car has caught much attention because of its bold design.

A Ferrari Purosangue Vibe?

The blogger claims that the Xiaomi SUV, implicitly, is sporting and dynamic, for some reason showing aspects before seen only on the exclusive Ferrari Purosangue. The shape is much sleeker in profile compared with the Audi A4 Avant, with Xiaomi’s SUV appearing to receive a lower, fastback-style silhouette-that makes the design even sportier and aggressive. In typography, its similarities are sleek body lines along with prominent curves and low-slung posture.

Design Highlights

The spy shots have shown a number of striking features even under camouflage: Fastback-style: The sloping roofline melts effortlessly to the rear to create a streamlined and aerodynamic appearance.

  • Low profile stance: Its wide and low-lying stance gives the car a sporty profile and adds to its dynamic appeal.
  • Smooth Curves: The design dominated by big body curves that make the SUV inarguably bold yet elegant.
  • Laser Radar: The vehicle uses a conspicuous **laser radar device, implying advanced autonomous driving functionality and probably aligning with Xiaomi’s focus on AI and smart systems.

Door Design

While earlier rumors presented the possibility of a two-door design, shots depict a **traditional flat-opening door design for the SUV from Xiaomi.

Xiaomi’s Upcoming SUV Lineup

Internally codenamed MX11, this SUV could be the second electric vehicle from Xiaomi. After the successful entry of Xiaomi into the electric car industry, MX11 has been placed as a pure electric SUV, focusing on advanced technology with fashion design.

Put together, it is expected that Xiaomi’s second electric SUV off the line will hit the market in the first half of 2025. Besides this, Xiaomi is reportedly planning to introduce a third vehicle into the market in 2026, the pricing pegged at about 150,000 yuan or $20,500. This would then indicate that the plan for broader market coverage rests with competitive pricing.

With its fastback design and generally sporty stance, this latest Xiaomi SUV marks perhaps a bold step forward in the company’s electric vehicle ambitions. Inspired by high-end models such as the Ferrari Purosangue, MX11 is likely to attract attention not just for its technological prowess but also for its stylish and sporty aesthetics in equal measure. With its plans to expand the lineup with more affordable electric vehicles in the near future, that only cements Xiaomi’s growing presence in the electric vehicle market.
