Xiaomi has finally concluded the HyperOS 2.0 Launcher Beta Program for introducing a host of new features and optimizations through three beta stages. Below is a summary of the major updates and fixes during the testing phase running from August 19, 2024 to September 13, 2024.

Third Beta Update

• Fixed: Return animation issue when clicking large icons.
• Fixed: Desktop icons not showing up under certain circumstances.
• Enhanced: Rules of desktop layout for fast and easy manipulation.
• Improved interface display in drawer mode for users’ convenience.
• Fixed: Various bugs to increase stability.

Second Beta Update

• Optimized: Removed unnecessary whitespace from top of desktop layout.
• Fixed: Smoothened the brief icon disappearance problem when an application is closed.
• Fixed: A few minor bugs for better performance.

First Beta Update

• New: Animations of the folders, giving rise to smoother and more interactive use.
• UI Improvements: Updated to use MIUIX v3 UI library.
• New Layout Options:
• 4×6 Layout with search box.
• 4×7 layout without search box.
• 5×8 format w/ search box.
• 5×9 scheme w/o search box.
• Revamped Menus: This includes the newest layout for Desktop Grid, Gesture Settings, App Vault, and editing of files in the folder.
• Enhancement: Popup menus have now been adapted for 2K screen resolutions. Now it’s even sharper.

Beta Program Schedule
