The latest catalog from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has officially revealed Xiaomi’s most powerful weapon in the SUV market yet. Dubbed the Xiaomi YU7 GT, this performance beast appeared on the application list sporting a menacing all-black body design, extra-wide tires, and frighteningly powerful specs.
Here are the key details from the “Announcement of Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products” (Batch 404) regarding the YU7 GT:
Pure Performance: ~990 Horsepower
Unlike the standard YU7 models, the GT version is clearly engineered for the track.
- Dual Motor Setup: It features a 288kW motor in the front and a massive 450kW motor in the rear.
- Total Power: This configuration delivers a combined output of 738 kW (approx. 990 HP).
- Top Speed: The vehicle is rated for a blistering top speed of 300 km/h (standard versions are capped lower).
Dimensions & Stance
The YU7 GT distinguishes itself from a standard SUV through its sheer size and aggressive stance.
- Wide Tires: To handle the immense power, it uses a staggered tire setup with 265/40R21 in the front and wider 295/35R21 rubber in the rear.
- Size: 5015mm (Length) x 2007mm (Width) x 1597mm (Height).
- Wheelbase: A spacious 3000mm.
- Weight: It has a curb weight of 2460 kg, with a total gross weight reaching 2910 kg.
- Battery Tech: It utilizes a high-performance Ternary Lithium-Ion battery pack.
- Manufacturer: Battery cells are provided by Jiangsu Times New Energy, with assembly by Zhongzhou Times New Energy (both key partners in the CATL ecosystem).
The “All-Black” Aesthetic
The application images reveal a completely blacked-out theme. The rims, logos, and body trims all feature a “Black Finish,” serving as the visual signature that separates the GT version from the standard luxury lineup.
These specifications confirm that Xiaomi is applying the same “track-ready” philosophy seen in the SU7 Ultra sedan to the SUV segment with the YU7 GT.
