Xiaomi will end software support for several of its popular devices in April 2025, a benchmark that will leave many users needing to consider upgrade paths. The forthcoming end-of-life (EOL) status affects some of the well-known models that served users well since their release. The decision is part of Xiaomi’s standard support policy that tends to provide software updates for a limited period after a device is released. Though the phones will continue to function, they will not receive security updates or new operating system functionality anymore.
Devices Reaching End of Support
The following Xiaomi phones will be end-of-support in April 2025:
- POCO F4 GT
- Redmi K50 Gaming
- Redmi 10A
- Redmi Note 11S
- Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G
- Xiaomi 11i
- Xiaomi 11 HyperCharge
Final Update Status for Each Device
Before reaching EOL status, some of the devices will receive a final significant update. Update status is model-specific:
POCO F4 GT and Redmi K50 Gaming
These gaming-focused phones will receive Android 14-based HyperOS 2 as their final update before the end of support. The precise version numbers are:
- POCO F4 GT: OS2.0.1.0.ULJEUXM
- Redmi K50 Gaming: OS2.0.2.0.ULJCNXM
This final update will have these gaming powerhouses get the latest major operating system version before end of support.
Entry and Mid-Range Models
The remaining devices will end their support lifecycle on different software versions:
- Redmi 10A: Will reach EOL while still on MIUI 12.5
- Redmi Note 11S 5G: Will conclude on Android 13-based HyperOS 1
- Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G: Android 13-based HyperOS 1 will be the last version
- Xiaomi 11i: Will end at Android 13-based HyperOS 1
- Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge: Final update will be Android 13-based HyperOS 1
What This Means for Users
When a phone reaches EOL status, it does not just stop functioning immediately. Nevertheless, there are important considerations:
- No more security patches, which may leave your device vulnerable to new exploits
- No access to future Android or HyperOS features
- Progressive incompatibility with new apps that are being written for newer Android versions
For users of these devices, it might be a good time to begin considering upgrade options. Xiaomi’s 2025 series has some compelling options with lengthy support windows ahead of them.
heyy
I just want to know why the redmi 14c not updating or becoming hyper Os 2 so boring this a phone this is useless phone redmi 14c is trash
I thought I was the only one that felt the same about redmi 14c not having the new OS 2.0 . the device was launched 2024 Which was supposed to still have the update.
Completely unfair, a lot of people needs the celphone for work and don’t have the financial aids to just throw a good, working phone and get a new one just because you decide isbtime to. Not good at all…

Xiaomi should also focus on Security updates and HyperOs update for old phones as well instead of bringing new phones to the market each month.
What is the Update Status for Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5 G
When is the next Update for this Mobile expected?
Sorry but I’m confused… is there an update for my Mi 11 T Pro? I’m confused by all the model numbers constantly being advertised and I love this phone and really don’t want to change it if I absolutely don’t need to…
shit. redmi note 11s still on 2024 July update. This is a trash phone. I will never buy xiaomi phone again.
It good they should put and end to the old device that would be more better
what the hell is wrong with Xiaomi ⁉️
even such a major phone is exempted from latest updates even in march 2025
I will never ever gonna buy any Xiaomi devices in my whole entire life.
redmi note 11 update???
Great, phone work like shit from first day. each day 4-5 app update.
where is my hyper os 2 on *Redmi 12c *🤔🤔🤔😑
why can’t redmi developer allow the 14c to get an hyper 0s 2 upgrade? the 14c is currently running on hyperOS 1 that nothing but useless. I regret getting this phone.
