31 Xiaomi phones won’t get Android 16 update

Xiaomi has officially outlined its plans regarding the Android 16 update, and several well-known devices will not be included. Instead, these models will receive HyperOS 3 (based on Android 15) as their final major software release. This decision concludes the update lifecycle for a significant portion of Xiaomi’s product lineup, including some flagship and mid-range offerings.

This approach aligns with standard Android industry practices, where device support is provided for a limited period. Going forward, Xiaomi will concentrate on enhancing HyperOS for supported devices, ensuring ongoing system improvements and feature additions.

HyperOS 3: Features and Rollout Timeline

HyperOS 3 is expected to introduce new interface elements, drawing inspiration from Apple’s “liquid glass” design language, and will offer a more refined user experience. The update will include an enhanced control center editor, providing additional customization options. Xiaomi’s timeline indicates a September release for HyperOS 3.

For users seeking to maximize their current device experience, updates can be accessed via HyperOSUpdates.com or through the MemeOS Enhancer app available on the Play Store. The latter offers access to additional Xiaomi features and up-to-date system apps.

This is the biggest proof that Xiaomi is a failed company because it is not able to provide support for devices it released only two years ago, while Samsung provides support for 6 years for devices with weaker processors than Xiaomi devices I regret buying a Xiaomi device and whatever they do, they will not reach the quality of iPhone devices a failed company

My Xiaomi 14T Pro was destroyed by Xiaomi developers because of a comment I wrote to them. They made it a personal feud and blocked updates to my device, which forced me to sell my phone for half the price.

I wish to comment that Qualcomm Snapdragon is a better option than Mediatek Dimensity because the former register excellent performance under heavy duty.

For users who don’t need bloatwares and only bare OS like LineageOS, Xiaomi has become a huge disappointment worldwide, if it’s refusal to extend root unlocking is taken into account. Now only God knows what all spying is happening through phones. Xiaomi shouldn’t become the new Pegasus.

Xiaomi should release the github repositories containing sources of these devices so that professionals could maintain the devices with custom ROMs. Xiaomi should keep a track of how long its devices are used by consumers – and make it a mark of its branding.

I’m disappointed that my Redmi 12 5G still hasn’t received any software updates, including the HyperOS update. As loyal users, we expect better and more timely support. Xiaomi should not neglect this model, as it deserves proper software maintenance and improvements.

Most of this phones should get 1 more. But we got scammed by Xiaomi because the phones came with A13 instead of A14, which other phones released at the same got. Got 1 less OS update straight out of the gate.

This is why I ditched my Redmi products. my Redmi Note 13 5g Pro+ is more slower than my Redmi Note 11 5g pro after its software update.

My Redmi watch crashes weekly since the update of the update where it was crashing daily.

Zero support. Buy cheap buy twice. I’ve moved over to Pixel for phone and watch. I know its not perfect and I love things Redmi do I will eventually adjust.

And have security updates for 6+ yr
