Review: Xiaomi Mi 6 world’s first hands-on !

Finally that Xiaomi Mi 6 was launched few hours ago, it’s very lucky to us to get the first hand review unit of Xiaomi Mi 6 after release conference, now we are gonna share the short using experience of this device to you.

Introduced by Xiaomi founder and CEO Lei Jun this morning, the eagerly awaited handset features a 5.15-inch display carrying a 1080 x 1920 FHD resolution. It’s powered with Qualcomm latest powerful chipset SD835 processor, it is under the hood with an octa-core 2.45 GHz CPU, and the Adreno 540 GPU.

Xiaomi Mi 6 will come with 6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB, thanks to Snapdragon 835 SoC is 25% more efficient than the Snapdragon 820, the Mi 6 would provide very good endurance performance with 3350mAH battery.

We did the test of RAM performance with AndroBench, you can check the data below:

Xiaomi is offering Qualcomm’s Sense ID, which means that the handset’s fingerprint scanner is embedded under the front screen.

There has oil film to prevent fingerprint stain on screen.

If it needs a word to describe the design of Xiaomi Mi 6 it must be “curved”, the four-sided 3D curved glass give this device very premium look, and it feels very comfortable to hold in your hand.

The 3.5mm earphone jack is taken place with Type-C port, and thanks to Qualcomm new quick charge technology that Xiaomi mi6 supports 18W (9V2A) QC4.0 quick charge.

As what we say that every new generation device should keep the design of former devices, Xiaomi Mi 6 did this well, compared with Xiaomi Mi 5 that Mi 6 does have similar partial elements.

Expect for Qualcomm SD835 processor, another biggest selling point is rear dual camera.

The dual-camera setup on the back that sits flush with the surface without a hump. The setup comprises of two 12MP cameras, one being a wide angle one and the other a tele similar to the Apple iPhone 7 Plus – there’s a Portrait Mode too. There’s 4-axis optical stabilization to keep things steady from the wide-angle 12MP camera.

Similar shooting mode as iPhone 7 Plus.

found the focus speed is super fast when shooting.

The blur performance of Xiaomi Mi 6 is obviously good, better than many other devices with dual camera. Xiaomi really did a good job on this.

As what we said at the beginning that this is not deep review of Xiaomi Mi6, and please stay tuned if you have interest of it, we suggest you to check more details about this device before place the order.

By the way, as what we experienced with Xiaomi Mi6 that it could be one of the best flagship we’ve used so far, maybe it’s not fair-minded to give this word to it so far, but consider the excellent performance of hardware and camera, powerful OS based on Android 7.1 and super fast quick charge, that it’s really hard to say anything bad on it.

The Xiaomi Mi 6 will be valid to be purchased on 28th April.
